This Privacy Policy governs the collection, processing, storage, and protection of personal data collected from students, mentors, and platform visitors across our website (vidyaavistaraa.com), web application, and mobile applications (iOS and Android).

We are committed to maintaining full compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and rules made thereunder), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 of India, and global App Store / Play Store guidelines.

To deliver structured online courses, practice assessments, verified digital certificates, and 1-on-1 mentor consultations, we collect the following categories of information:

• Personal Identification Data: Full name, registered email address, mobile phone number, profile photo, and demographic information submitted during registration.
• Academic & LMS Activity Data: Enrolled courses, video watch progress, quiz and test completion records, scorecards, leaderboards, and certificate credentials.
• Payment & Transaction References: Payment confirmation IDs, transaction timestamps, purchased course titles, and invoice details. Note: All online payments are handled directly by PCI-DSS certified payment gateway partners (Razorpay). Vidyaa Vistaraa does NOT store or process sensitive credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking passwords on its servers.
• Technical & Device Data: Device model, operating system version, browser type, IP address, device tokens for push notifications, and session log data collected to ensure app security and prevent unauthorized account sharing.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis of Data Processing

We process your personal data strictly for legitimate educational, operational, and compliance purposes, including:

• Providing seamless access to purchased course modules, video lectures, and PDF study resources.
• Scheduling and conducting 1-on-1 mentor strategy consultations via integrated video links (Google Meet).
• Generating verified digital certificates upon course completion.
• Processing secure online payment transactions, invoices, and handling customer refund inquiries.
• Communicating critical course updates, security alerts, and system notices via SMS, WhatsApp, or Email.
• Preventing fraudulent access, account sharing, and enforcing platform terms of service.

4. Third-Party Service Providers & Data Disclosures

We respect your privacy and never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party marketing companies. We share information only with authorized service providers necessary to operate the platform under strict confidentiality agreements:

• Payment Processing: Razorpay Software Private Limited (India) for processing secure UPI, Cards, Net Banking, and Wallet payments.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting: Secure cloud servers (AWS / Hostinger) located in data centers ensuring high availability and data encryption.
• Authentication Services: Google OAuth 2.0 for quick sign-in capabilities.
• Legal & Statutory Authorities: When required by Indian law, court orders, or law enforcement regulatory directions issued in the State of Karnataka or Union of India.

5. Data Security & Retention Standards

We employ enterprise-grade security protocols including 256-bit SSL encryption for data in transit and restricted access controls for data at rest. We retain personal data as long as your student account is active. Transactional log records are preserved for statutory accounting and tax compliance audit periods as mandated under Indian financial regulations.

6. User Rights & Account Deletion (Google Play & Apple Compliance)

Under Indian privacy laws and mobile app platform requirements (Google Play Store & Apple App Store Guidelines), you have the right to access, correct, or request the permanent removal of your personal account data.

If you wish to delete your Vidyaa Vistaraa student account and wipe associated personal data, you can do so by:

Account deletion requests are fulfilled within 7 business days. Upon deletion, your course access, test analytics, and certificates will be permanently purged.
